2. Do you include a driver with the tipper truck hire?
We provide ‘wet’ truck hire with an operator or ‘dry’ truck hire without an operator, depending on your requirements and budget. If you choose to hire a tip truck without an operator, you will need to show that the driver is licenced to operate the vehicle and set up a trading account, before the booking can be confirmed.
3. How much notice do you need to start or cancel a project?
Our extensive fleet and Sydney location means we can usually offer tipper truck hire with 24-hours notice, depending on the availability of trucks and operators at the time of your enquiry. If you need to cancel your truck hire, we require at least two hours notice otherwise travel fees will be charged.
4. What are your operating hours?
Operating times for machinery and sanctions will be outlined in the Development Application (DA) provided by your local council. Hours vary between councils, with some sites approved for work between 7am to 5pm and others from 9am to 4pm. We must adhere to the operating hours outlined in your DA otherwise council fines can apply.
5. What is included in the hire fee?
Our tip truck hire rates include a tipper truck or excavator with buckets, ripper and the cost to transport the machine to and from the site (float charge). There are additional fees for attachments. Our quote is the price you will be asked to pay, unless you change the scope of your project or request extra work that was not in the original quote. We are happy to adjust the quote if there are changes to the project and will only commence work once you have agreed to the new price.
We offer a free site inspection before sending you our quote. This ensures that the right machinery and operator are matched to your project.
6. How long will the job take to complete?
This really depends on the size and scope of your project. We will provide an estimated completion date when you confirm your truck hire. Please note that there are sometimes unexpected delays, such as bad weather or rock in the ground, which can take longer to excavate and remove from the site. We can often work in the rain, but this depends on how wet the site is at the time of excavation.
Other factors that will affect completion time include traffic, school zones, the location of the job and its proximity to the tip. If your project is delayed for any reason, it will not affect your tip truck hire rates. Our focus is on completing the job quickly, safely and with the best possible results for our clients.
7. Are you insured?
We are comprehensively insured, fully licenced and qualified to complete your project. Although we take the greatest care to protect your property at all times, we understand accidents can happen and guarantee that we will repair any damage to your home or property caused by our work.
